I'm actually loving this update. For once, stats actually mean skill and we're free of dodging, which is a HUGE improvement imo since the game feels more fair. I never liked stomping noobs, easy means boring imo. About the matchmaking, you can queue literally any player if queue times are above half a minute, so the change is very subtle. And finally, the API freezing option is absolutely awesome against snipers.

I haven't been able to win a game since this update I need a new game to casually play anyone know anyone?

So what your saying is that you like getting free wins against newbies, but what if the newbies dont like getting auto losses every other game? I personally don't like playing a game for 5 minutes hoping to win and then realize I never even had a chance. New players grow the game so I assume Hypixel was trying to improve the new player experience.

tbh theres like 10 types of players in bedwars and you can only really please 1 of them at a time, theres the sweats who want to kill bad players for good stats, sweats who want to kill good players for good stats, sweats who care about bedwars itself not their stats, players who ignore their stats entirely and play for fun, and a ton of other types and you can never please them all so in my opinion they should let the community decide if updates should work or not and have it so if a enough people dislike an update they shouldnt add it or just dont update the game, people who like the game are use to it receiving little to no updates and would rather nothing then something that will make half the community quit (tons of sweats quit because of this update which could be a good or a bad thing in some poeples eyes)

When I first played bedwars I literally couldn’t touch solos because of players like you lol. How can curb stomping newbies who can barely play the game be fun for you or them? If I first joined hypixel today I would’ve quit pvp games as a whole.

I think there should be an option to choose whether you want skill-based matches or not.

The problem is also that if u change things that were here at the starting of the bedwars game, u change every strategies and u burn the gamesens of ppl who know the game and who are good at it

This isn’t the end of the world. This isn’t a bad update. No skilled based matchmaking isn’t good for anything competitive. Even games that people say were great because of lack of skill based matchmaking (like old halo/cod games) still had it.

Trust me Jopig, for us solo players this update barely changes anything at all, if no one told me the matchmaking was updated I wouldn’t even know, the other modes tho it does make a huge difference tho

Simple solution... Add a beginner queue.. Only low star players can join. This is the biggest problem with bedwars... Beginners should not be playing against experienced players. I dont know how it is enjoyable for anyone.. If you are a beginner, you get bridged to and killed in 10 seconds.. If you are an experienced player, that also cannot be enjoyable to just be playing people that have zero ability.

if you cant win against people at your skill level and can only win with no skill based matchmaking it just sounds like you have a major skill issue

I honestly think your idea is a good idea, just change shit, bedwars is THAT type of game, making seasons, adding items, removing items changing maps, making the game more unpredictable will not only balance the playing field with people that know the game like clock work and it will make the good players have to adapt more which would be stimulating to the sweaty mentality. I really think this would be a great idea

When the update first came out, they 100% added a really high star queue I queued like 5 games and each in each one everyone was like 300 star MINIMUM, with multiple 700+ star players. Thank god this was reverted tho

The problem is that when a hacker joins the game, you can’t report them. You also can’t see people’s health in game so you don’t know when to rush or not
